Dresden Sister City, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting cultural, educational and sports exchanges, and facilitating business contacts between the cities of Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A. and Dresden, Germany. The sister city agreement between Columbus, Ohio and Dresden, Germany was signed on June 4, 1992. Since then, the residents of Columbus and Dresden have had numerous opportunities to engage in exchanges and get to know their respective sister city.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Dresden Sister City Program is to foster an international understanding at all levels of the community on a continuing long-term basis. To achieve this understanding, both cities will promote the exchange of people, ideas, economic development, and culture through a variety of educational institutions, municipal, corporate, professional, technical, and youth projects. The focus of these exchanges will be to foster world peace.
