Dresden Sister City again organized the Columbus and Dresden Marathon Ambassador Program. 2024 was the 11th year for the program. 

Five Columbus runners traveled to Dresden, Germany, and represented our city in the Dresden Marathon on October 27, 2024.

Five Dresden runners participated in the Columbus Marathon & Half Marathon on October 20, 2024.

The runners were welcomed to their sister city with a stay with a local host family, tours, cultural experiences and opportunities to meet local dignitaries.

To celebrate the runners, and the Columbus host families, we hosted a marathon party the day after Columbus marathon.
